Add On-site Messaging to Drupal 7 Website

You can easily integrate our service on Drupal, the following steps are specifically for Drupal 7. You can find the instructions for Drupal 8 here.

Steps to integrate onsite messaging popups on Drupal

  • Step 1:

    Login to your PushAlert account and head to the Integrate section of the Drupal website on which you want to add the service.

  • Step 2:

    Copy the integration code from the Universal section.

  • Step 3:

    Head to your Drupal 7 website and login to the site backend.

  • Step 4:

    Navigate to the Structure page from the admin panel.

  • Step 5:

    Select Blocks in the window that appears after clicking on Structure.

  • Step 6:

    Next click on Add block.

  • Step 7:

    Add a Block description so that you can easily identify that the code is for Onsite messaging.

  • Step 8:

    Paste the integration code you copied earlier in the Block body field and set Text format as Full HTML.

  • Step 9:

    Set the region as Footer, you can also change the visibility to specific pages or users.

  • Step 10:

    And finally click on Save block.

  • Step 11:

    Confirm by heading to the Blocks page, and scrolling down to the Footer section. You will be able to see the new block there and Configure if any changes are required.
