Add PushAlert On-site Messaging to Drupal 8 Site

You can easily integrate our service on Drupal, the following steps are specifically for Drupal 8. If you want to add on-site popups to Drupal 7, please head here.

Steps to integrate onsite messaging popups on Drupal

  • Step 1:

    Login to PushAlert and click on the site on which you want to add the service.

  • Step 2:

    Head to the Integrate section from the left menu.

  • Step 3:

    Copy the smart code from the Universal (JavaScript) section.

  • Step 4:

    Now login to your Drupal site, and select Structure from the site navigation.

  • Step 5:

    Select Block layout.

  • Step 6:

    Next, head to Custom block library and click on Add custom block button.

  • Step 7:

    On the next screen enter the Block description so that you can easily identify later.

  • Step 8:

    Click on Source in the editor and set Text format as Full HTML

  • Step 9:

    Paste the integration code you copied earlier in the Body section and click on Save.

  • Step 10:

    Next click on Block layout tab.

  • Step 11:

    Locate the active Footer section and click on the Place Block button right next to it.

  • Step 12:

    On the next window, find the Custom block you created earlier and click the Place Block button next to it.

  • Step 13:

    Add a title to your custom block and make sure Display title option is unchecked.

  • Step 14:

    Just click on Save block and you are all set.
